Team Updates- Week of October 15.

The following tasks were accomplished today:

  1. The engine along with the electronics were mounted on the engine.

  2. The starter and relays are working. But, the ignition is still not working.

  3. The electronics sub-team along with the electronics team are working on the final stages of the engine electronics. Also, they have started working on the diagnostic programs.

  4. The fuel sub-team designed and fabricated a practice fuel tank for testing the engine.

  5. The research sub-team understood and documented the working of the pneumatic tank.

  6. The transmission sub-team worked with the transmission team. They brainstormed about ideas to cut the transmission from the engine.

Team Updates - Week of October 8

Mid-terms Week.

The following tasks were accomplished this week:

  1. Worked with the electronics team to create a practice mount for the engine.

  2. The electronics sub-team spent most of their time studying the engine electronics.

  3. The fuel sub-team worked on designing a practice fuel tank for testing the engine.

  4. The research sub-team worked on understanding the working of the pneumatic pressure tank that would be used in the competition instead of the fuel pump.

Team Updates - Week of October 1

The following tasks were accomplished this week:

  1. The engine was dismounted from the chassis.

  2. Team members spent time studying the engine and the various modifications made to it by the previous teams.

  3. Identified a few engineering problems with the engine and the transmission.

  4. Engine team was divided into 4 sub teams- fuel, transmission, electronics and research. Every sub-team was assigned tasks.

  5. Team revisited the timeline.
